Purpose of Role/Job Overview


The role of the Outbound Meetings & Events Executive is to qualify inbound and pro-actively source new meetings & events leads. They will be expected to outreach to previous enquiries through CRM/BIS database examination and source new business through research and market knowledge. They will also be expected to develop relationships with events and travel agencies as a further way of promoting our spaces.


The individual must have confidence in proactively outreaching to new business opportunities. They will be expected to hit regular targets and KPIs and will work closely with the Meetings & Events team to tackle under-performing buildings.  As TOG expand their portfolio, this business development role is fundamental in delivering corporate opportunities into the meeting room and events pipeline.


The individual will be responsible for qualifying all events opportunities and therefore requires excellent customer service skills to identify the clients’ needs and refer their enquiry to the relevant Events Area Manager. They will need to work effectively as part of the events team and have excellent time management skills to remain in control of all live opportunities.


As an ambassador for TOG, they will be expected to cross sell all products and buildings within our portfolio.



Key Accountabilities

  • Being the first point of contact for event enquiries by telephone, email or via 3rd
  • Qualifying leads through detailed analysis pre-call to learn about their business, event requirements and current/future meetings & event’s needs
  • Converting opportunities to viewing stage through objection handling and detailed discussion around the TOG portfolio
  • Identifying corporate opportunities through regular spot checks of leads coming into the database
  • Monitoring booking system to identify client booking patterns and which clients TOG should be targeting
  • Create a re-targeting strategy alongside Head of MR & Events to encourage more requirements from corporate users
  • Researching opportunities in TOG locations to target new companies
  • Leading promotional campaigns and business development projects
  • Understanding the CRM and booking system and using this effectively
  • Having expert knowledge of all event buildings, their spaces and full event offerings
  • Being aware of company revenue targets and individual building targets
  • Delivering and exceeding individual and group KPIs and targets
  • Weekly updating Events reports and finances
  • Raising PO’s and assisting with general events admin
  • Liaising with suppliers for bookings and invoicing
  • Being able to upsell or promote other services to clients
  • Support central sales team with general sales enquiries and sales line when required
