Purpose of Role/Job Overview

The role of the Events Sales Executive is to fully qualify all events opportunities that come to TOG via direct sources or through third party channels. The individual will be responsible for qualifying events opportunities and appropriate distribution of new leads. They will manage opportunities themselves for 50 people or less, any opportunities for events greater than this will be distributed to the relevant Area Events Manager.

They will need to work effectively as part of the events team and have excellent time management skills to remain in control of all live opportunities. They will be expected to hit regular targets and KPIs and will work closely with the Meetings & Events team to drive events revenue.

As an ambassador for TOG, they will be expected to cross sell all products and buildings within our portfolio.


Key Accountabilities

  • Be the first point of contact for all potential event clients by telephone, email or leads from the TOG website and from buildings directly
  • Qualification of clients through detailed analysis pre-call to learn about their company and event requirements
  • Logging and distributing leads
  • Ownership of events enquiries for 50 people or less
  • Development, production and delivery of projects from proposal right up to delivery
  • Conduct show rounds
  • Deliver events operationally (setup, running, breakdown)
  • Manage team during events
  • Ensuring excellent customer service and quality delivery
  • Working effectively individually and as part of a team towards targets and KPI’s
  • Support and maintain third party relationships to drive more revenue
  • Invoicing clients and ensuring payment is received for all confirmed bookings
  • Month-end financial overview – updating all folders and reports
  • Having expert knowledge of all event buildings, their spaces and full event offerings
  • Being able to upsell or promote other services to clients (catering, event entertainment, event theming)
  • Support meetings and central sales team with general enquiries and sales line when required

Knowledge and Experience

  • Admin and CRM experience
  • Proficient with MS Office, in particular Word, Power Point and Excel
  • Customer service
  • Events Management/Sales Experience


Education and Qualifications

  • GCSE mandatory
  • A-level desired
