About Us

grid

The teams at the buildings are pretty much the most important part of The Office Group (with Finance, they’re kind of critical too. And Marketing. Erm….Operations, we like them and Stew in Product Development is up there), ensuring the buildings are run with smoothness, smiles and the occasional song and dance (literally, rather than making a drama). Check out the specific locations for their profiles.

We also have The Office Angels who know the ropes in each and every building, they magically descend when people are away or when we’re just really busy and head back to HQ now and again for a coffee and chocolate hit.

Charlie Green, Co CEO

Charlie co-founded The Office with Olly in late 2003. A qualified Chartered Surveyor, his exposure to the conventional office market and serviced offices inspired the need to create a product that would stand apart from the competition - simpler, design-led, greener and still offer value. Charlie is an amateur boxer (OK, two fights... one very black eye), rugby player (used to be) and can do a mean Sean Connery impression (according to him). If you’ve got property to offer that you think may fit, give him a call or email charlie@theofficegroup.co.uk

Olly Olsen, Co CEO

Olly and Charlie first met on a beach in Thailand in 1995. Olly has no recollection of this. Prior to setting up The Office, Olly worked in Sales and Operations for a provider of serviced office space. He was spurred on to set up The Office with Charlie by the desire to get out of the corporate world to set up and create offices that were markedly different to the industry standard. He’s a massive Arsenal fan, has played futsal for Great Britain (that's a 5-a-side thing) and has challenged himself to do an Iron Man next year. Heading up the operational and revenue side of the business, you can reach him at olly@theofficegroup.co.uk

Stewart Whiting, Product Development Director

Stewart - very enthusiastic and lots of hair. He has been with the company since we were three buildings old and is our Product Development Director, evolving our existing products and services and looking for new ones, such as developing The Club. His expertise spans from anything workplace related to the best place to eat, drink or do in London. He has a sock fetish (manifests itself in very bold colours), is a very keen sailor, surfer and avid negroni drinker. Email is stewart@theofficegroup.co.uk

Matt Davies, Commercial Director

Matt is our Commercial Director and gets involved in just about every aspect of the business, from running the buildings to working on new refurbishments. He's very busy, although we've just managed to convince him to relax a bit and wear jeans to work now and again . But, if you need him urgently or need some help, he has an achilles heel....a serious weakness for hot chocolate. Available for cocoa at matt@theofficegroup.co.uk

Kate Prior, Head of Sales

Kate heads up the Sales Team and previously managed our Green Park House building. She has numerous and varied qualifications under her belt and is a qualified Behaviour Therapist, Marketeer and Gymnastics Coach... explaining the sporadic sets of star jumps and press ups seen in Head Office. kate@theofficegroup.co.uk

Matt Green, Financial Director

A northerner by birth, Matt grew up in Leeds and went to University in Manchester. He lived and worked in Grand Cayman for a couple of years and did that whole tax avoidance thing. We're trying to take advantage of that knowledge. An outdoor lover, he's a big fan of skiing and mountain biking.....Cayman Islands, good. His friends call him Jingles - we're told it's a long story and is soon as we find out, we'll put it up here. mattg@theofficegroup.co.uk

Mitesh Mandalia, Mikey

Working closely with Matt in the accounts department, Mitesh’s interests span the social spectrum- everything from Hip Hop to super fast cars. He can also be seen lowering his golf handicap inside the office with the latest in golfing advancements The… Potty Putter (apparently it’s very serious so we shouldn’t laugh) and is a regular in snooker tournaments. Nicknamed Mikey (we tried Hurrican Higgins for awhile but it was too long), you can reach him at mitesh@theofficegroup.co.uk

Sam Elliott, Commercial Project Manager

Sam brings good old fashioned property experience to the company, working on the existing portfolio, new acquisitions and refurbishments. And he manages to do this with a highly questionable taste in shirts....don't even go there with the Paisley number. Sam runs on at least 12 coffees a day, fuelling his run of non-stop gags. So if you're in need of an inappropriate pun get him on same@theofficegroup.co.uk

Oleg Krysa, Big O

Oleg speaks fluent Russian and Ukrainian (and English), which we thought was exceptionally useful when he started. Alas, we're still waiting for the opportunity to take advantage of his language skills. Still he's a key member of the finance team and is obsessed, and we mean obsessed, with food. He eats 6 times during the day and probably exercises the same amount. Available at oleg@theofficegroup.co.uk

Fionnuala Cavanagh, Marketing

Fi-ooooo-nnnu-la, Finn-ooo-la, Finn-new-la, just call me Finn. With a love of fonts, layouts and militant about spelling and grammar she heads up the Marketing side of things. Finn has a degree in English and a Masters in Modernism and Postmodernism in Art and Literature, thus being well informed to professionally critique the various bits and pieces in our buildings (watch out Acrylicise boys!). An Irish lass, she loves, loves, loves cycling around The Big Smoke. If she's standing still, she's at fionnuala@theofficegroup.co.uk

Abigail Groves, Senior Sales / Lady Extraordinaire

Abi is fanatical about saving endangered species and spends her holidays helping on research projects. This year she went to Kenya where she looked after monkeys and taught in a school. She was almost a television presenter and once co-presented with Fearne Cotton on a children’s show. Very cool. And her cousin is George Groves (boxer). Very cool.  Abigail@theofficegroup.co.uk

Natalie Simpson, Office Angel

Originally from Brighton Natalie moved to London in search of a new adventure. Our original Office Angel (former titles for this position ranged from  'Floater' (euch) to 'Toaster' (?)) she knows the ins-and-outs of all the buildings so it’s handy that she loves being very busy. She also has a fetish for designer shoes (and bags) and is a regular visitor to Las Vegas (as in Nevada, as in the USA, rather than the slot machines on the High Street). Nat is at natalies@theofficegroup.co.uk

Samantha Shellie

Samantha works with Charlie and Olly in Manchester Square, in a kind of looking after them because they need looking after kind of way, so hers is not an enviable task. She also runs the Manchester Sq building so if you need anything there, she's your gal. Sam is at heart a true thespian and regularly goes to the theatre. She loves discovering new things, drinking tea and relaxing when she can on a green patch in The Square under the sun (if we ever get any). Sam's at samantha@theofficegroup.co.uk

Steve 'The Hammer' Messer and Jamie Craven, The 'Making the Buildings look good and keeping them that way' Team

If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... The  Maintenance Team. Steve (aka The Hammer aka Nine Coats aka about a dozen other nicknames) is one half of our MTBLGAKTTW Team, his skills know no bounds as he is also the Master and Commander of The Office BBQ. Recently joined by Jamie, this dynamic duo are our very own Laurel and Hardy, but boy do we need them. In case of emergency (not a real emergency), email steve@theofficegroup.co.uk or jamie@theofficegroup.co.uk

Nick Thomson, Welsh Rarebit

No you haven’t come through to a call centre in Cardiff, it’s the charm of our resident Welshman. He’s an avid follower of all sports, and can be spotted a mile off with his colourful dress sense… of course that’s if you don’t hear him singing first. Tom Jones had better watch out.   nick@theofficegroup.co.uk

Sam Burke, Ultraman

With a well-nurtured love of computers and computer games, he can log a lead faster than anyone on the planet – it’s astonishing to watch. His tastes lie in margheritas rather than sport… and he’s Amy’s brother but we try not to hold that against him. sam@theofficegroup.co.uk

Megan Emerson, The Office Angel

She's got three pretty good rules to stick to: laugh with meaning, take time to make the ones you love feel loved and never stop exploring both yourself and the world around you - and she's definitely nailing the last one. She'll out-ski, out-dance and be impressed if she's not wearing the highest stilettos in the room. Originally from Canada she's satisfying her urge for new discovery by traveling between all our buildings. You never know where she is so it's best to find her at megan@theofficegroup.co.uk

Nicolas Vassili, Nick the Greek

Our resident Greek, he's a cross between Michael Buble and Freddie Prinze Jr (sorry Nic but it's true!). His favourite combination is red and white which might have something to do with his passionate devotion to Arsenal. Although we're assured he was hired purely for his accounting expertise - right Olly?

Oscar J Abarca Pena

Bursting with Central American spirit Oscar has dance moves to keep the accounts teams literally on their toes. He's a man of simple tastes although only if they come with a serving of Flor de Caña. He's also something of an authority on coffee, get him on oscar@theofficegroup.co.uk
