The Bond Street area is best known for its shopping and you can certainly while away hours in the flagships of Ralph Lauren and Cartier. It has also long been a centre for top-end art dealers. The Fine Art Society is a particularly lovely gallery, described by Walter Sickert as “the best shop in London”, and further down is Cork Street, which hangs onto its reputation as London’s pre-eminent art street. The "Allies" statue on Bond Street features Winston Churchill and Franklin D. Roosevelt while Grosvenor Square, along with near-neighbour Berkeley Square, is one of the two great Mayfair Squares and a place that offers the chance to reflect.
